C.J. Leslie, Lorenzo Brown Leaving for NBA Draft

The NC State Wolfpack came into the season with lofty expectations and a terrific set of players. Unfortunately, they fell short of their goal of winning the ACC regular season and tournament titles, and had to settle for an 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament. To make matters worse, they were bumped in the first round by the 9-seeded Temple Owls, ending their underachieving season.

Now, the two best players on the Wolfpack appear to be heading for greener pastures. CBSSports.com is reporting that C.J. Leslie and Lorenzo Brown will be entering the NBA Draft. Leslie averaged 15.1 PPG and 7.4 RPG in the 2012-13 season, while Brown averaged 12.4 PPG, 7.2 APG and 2.0 SPG in the 2012-13 season.

Brown and Leslie are projected in the late first round and late second round respectively in CBSSports.com's latest Mock Draft. This is certainly big news for NC State as they will only have three players coming back next season that had extended minutes this past season. With Scott Wood and Richard Howell graduating, there is going to be a new look basketball team for Mark Gottfried next season in Raleigh.
