Good Goal or Not a Good Goal? That is the Question.

Last night out in the City of Angels, the Los Angeles Kings took on the Columbus Blue Jackets. The game was tied 2-2 in the final seconds when defenceman Drew Doughty ripped a slapshot past Columbus netminder Curtis Sanford. However, nothing comes without controversy, and there appeared to be a heck of a lot of it soon after the puck went into the net.

According to replays from both Fox Sports Ohio and PRIME Ticket in Los Angeles, the game clock appeared to momentarily stop at the 1.8 second mark, and stopped long enough for the goal to count with 0.4 seconds remaining in the game. NHL rules dictate that the game result cannot change, whether the goal is counted good or not good in a review following the game, but the NHL has opened into a review this afternoon.

You be the judge.
