According to a report from CBS Chicago, Chicago Blackhawks' forward and captain Jonathan Toews was involved in a car crash this morning in the Chicago Loop and was taken in an ambulance afterwards. Toews' car reportedly struck a support beam at the intersection of Lake Street and Garvey Court a little before the hour of 10 a.m. An eyewitness stated that she saw Toews driving the car and 670 The Score in Chicago confirmed that the car was in fact registered to the Blackhawks' captain. As of now no serious injuries have been reported.
UPDATE: Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com (@ESPNChiHawks on Twitter) tweeted 12 minutes ago that the Blackhawks have confirmed that Jonathan Toews was involved in the reported car crash and sustained no injuries.
