Domonic Brown Hit a Home Run Past the Batter's Eye

H/T Bleacher Report
When the Philadelphia Phillies signed Delmon Young to a one-year deal earlier in the offseason, there were a lot of suggestions that outfielder Domonic Brown was going to be playing for a different team. Brown, 25, had not done a great job of proving himself at the ML level, but today he did something worth noting.

With the Phillies trailing 3-1 in a spring training outing against the New York Yankees, Brown came up to bat against Yankees pitcher Zach Nuding. Brown had worked himself into a 2-2 count and after fouling off a few pitches before, he ripped off a towering blast that went a long way away. Let's go to the video tape, shall we?

My goodness is that a big fly. It might not have matched Miguel Cabrera's blast yesterday but that was one heck of a shot by Brown. There's no telling if Brown is going to continue to rip off home runs like that (chances are, he won't) but this is certainly good news for the Phillies and for Brown himself to give him confidence so that he may start to play well at the Major League level.
