Trevor Plouffe Hits a Home Run and Trevor Plouffe Can't Believe It

Okay, so at this point in the month of September, the Minnesota Twins do not exactly have a lot to be happy about. They're tied for last place with the Cleveland Indians and on pace for a 67-95 record. It's a far cry from a team, two years ago, were a lock for the MLB Playoffs and, in my opinion at the time, could have made a legitimate run to the World Series. Unfortunately, they were subsequently bounced (once again) by the New York Yankees, and things really haven't been the same since. But, this year their leader Joe Mauer is hitting above .320 again, Josh Willingham may have the most unnoticed .900+ OPS season ever, and a surprising bright spot for them has been the play of Trevor Plouffe. Plouffe this season may only be hitting .235, but he's knocked out 22 home runs and has gotten Twins fans to be both perplexed, and (slightly) excited for what he may bring to the table in the future if he figures things out. Today, though, he had a strange, strange thing happen to him.

I mean, you'd be hard pressed to explain that to just about anybody. Frankly, this is the type of thing that I ws referring to: Trevor Plouffe has done some Trevor Plouffe things this year, but this may take the cake.
