Mike Milbury has never been afraid to speak his mind.
It should never come to a surprise when he does but it always seems to provide for interesting commentary and analysis whenever he voices his opinion on the NBC Sports Network. Last year, Milbury lit up Penguins forward Sidney Crosby and just a few days ago, Milbury called Crosby and fellow Penguin Evgeni Malkin 'crack addicts.' Well last night, he decided to open up and berate Washington Capitals' forward Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin has taken a lot of flack in the last few seasons for not really living up to his contract or the star-status that he created for himself in his first few seasons in the league.

Last night against the Philadelphia Flyers, he exhibited some awful play and in the words of SB Nation's own (and student at Columbia College) Pat Iversen: the rant was as deserved as it was over the top. Let's check this out:
"Good grief," said Charlie Browns somewhere as he watches this video. Milbury has been controversial, but it's certainly hard to disagree with him on Ovechkin. He has not nearly been the same player that he was when he came into the league like a shooting star. Now he just seems to be in the form of star dust, and may never be the player he was. But boy, did he get eviscerated here.
